The Children: Who care's about their issues? Well we do, the DTRA are determined that the children living at Dumbreck Court will have access to somewhere to play whether it be locally at Dumbreck or in the larger mosspark play area. We will insist the compensation fund is spent either on a play area within Dumbreck Court for the children to play locally, or on a puffin crossing point on Mosspark Boulevard to allow both the children from Dumbreck Court and the children from Hazelwood School to access the new play area at Mosspark.
We have recently been e-mailed by Land services stating that they would be using the compensation fund money (for loss of a playarea and loss of greenspace in Dumbreck) to upgrade the play area in Mosspark. As mosspark had suffered no loss of facilities or greenspace in the construction of Hazelwood School we confronted Land and Environmental Services as to the reason for this dubious decision? We received no reason but were informed that the fund would now not be used to pay for the upgrade to the Mosspark Playarea and would be used in Dumbreck.
But since this time some months ago we have heard little from Land Services and are only told 'repeatedly' that they are awaiting Geo-Technical reports on a proposed site in Dumbreck!
You can be sure this Tenants Association will not let the original agreement fall by the wayside or allow it to be used in any other way by Land and Environmental Services who have been dragging their heals on this matter.
